One more semester down, Summer has begun.

- - Wow, is Summer really here already? Well it is for Summer school. We started Wednesday, and it is 8 full hours a day. However, it actually feels more like the real world in that we have to be there by 7:30 am, and get an hour lunch break with two fifteen minute breaks one before lunch and one after. Then we get out at 4:30, and get to go home. The homework also is minimal so when we get out, we are basically done and can have the afternoon off.--

- - The Summer school will last 4.5 weeks, then I will be teaching the flight camps again for two weeks. The flight camps go from 8am to noon, so I will have the afternoons off. I plan on beginning my multi engine flight instructor course to get a head start on it. The week after the two weeks of flight camps I am hoping to work solely on the flight instructor course.--

- - June 30th I will be going to Alaska (I have wanted to go there for a long time) for about three weeks, then back to Cali for a few weeks before I start my last semester at LeTourneau University.--

- - This last semester was crazy and busy, but it was a very good one. I earned both my Commercial Multi engine pilots license, and my Single engine Commercial Pilots licenses, I got all A's in my classes except one, in which I got a B (18 credit hours), I learned a lot, and feel like it was a good-productive semester. Sure there were plenty of rough spots, but the Lord helped me through it all. (He always does, mostly I think He gives us the strength to make it through, and helps us learn that we can do things with His abounding grace, strength and mercy. )--

- I think one lesson that I learned, well sort-of learned the semester before last was the importance of adequate sleep. I was very disciplined this last semester to go to bed (usually around 10:30-11:30) earlier, when I had to be up by 5:30am which gave me around 6 hours of sleep. I still think that 6 hrs is marginal, but much better than what I have gotten in semesters past. And what do you know, I found myself being able to pay much better attention in class, and found my retention rate much better as well. I did find it hard to get all my homework done with reduced study time since I was going to bed earlier, but the dividends paid off, and the outcome was better, and I felt much better.-

- -With the way the year 2011 has been shaping up so far, I think this will be a great year, and a year to look back on and say: "That was a great year" "Thank you Lord"--

Spring Break

Yay, at last it is here, Spring Break. I am staying here in Longview and trying to fly at least once a day to get caught up in my flight since I got such a late start. None of my other classes will meet which is really nice. I have several large projects that I need to work on over the break, which will take up a lot of time, but it will be nice not having to show up for classes all day every day.

I am soooo very thankful for Chelsea. She is simply amazing. She is a great sport, very encouraging, and supportive to me while I am here in school. When I get discouraged it is Chelsea that helps me get up and push through another day of school .

I Love you sweetheart.

A Commercial Multi Engine Pilot.

Finally, I have it. I have been working hard and long on my training here at LeTourneau Univsity, and have reached a milestone. After much hard work, I have my Commercial Pilots license for multi engine aircraft. The FAA Check Air Man who flew with me said that I did well, and that I am a good pilot, with very good control of the aircraft. So as of March 1st 2011 there is one more Commercial Pilot in the world.

Frustrations of a pilot.

Well, another disappointing day. I must place a disclaimer in here though, I will always rather be on the ground wishing I were in the air than be in the air wishing I were on the ground.

I have been trying very hard to finish up my Multi Engine Commercial Pilots license, but still have not been successful. I was to finish it up in December of last year, but was sent home when the Flight program Director told me they did not have enough slots open for me to go. So then I came back at the beginning of this semester and have been trying to finish up for two months now. If its not one thing, it will definitely be another. The semester began with one aircraft down due to a missing propeller, then lots of weather delays, and schedule conflicts combined with flat tires and the like. I finally got my final check ride scheduled with a FAA check airman and after we finished the oral exam the weather had deteriorated to the point that we could not go. Ughhh oh well, maybe next time.

Time to update.

Wow, has it really been a whole semester and a half, and a Christmas break in between since I've posted something. I guess so... Anyway.

I am back in Texas, working away at my education. I am pretty much over school, and ready to be done. As it looks right now, Hopefully, I will be graduating in December. Due to some complications with aircraft and personnel I was not able to get my Multi engine Commercial Pilots license last semester. Then when I came back this semester there were more equipment issues, coupled with bad weather and the like, I still haven't finished that portion of my training. I am very close though, and hopefully this week I will be a Commercial Pilot.

Back home, is Chelsea, She has enrolled in a Photography class, and is doing quite well. I am so proud of her. Although I really do not like being so far away from her, and miss her like crazy, the distance is allowing me to see deeper into her amazing character. I am so thankful for Gods bringing her into my life, and for her parents who have raised such an amazing young lady. Chelsea is so patient, kind and caring, and she is always encouraging me to keep going and finish, even though I know she really wishes I could be there with her. Oh, and by the way, have I ever mentioned how Beautiful she is.....

I Love you Chelsea

_______________Homesick______________

So yeah, I am back here in Texas, The semester started last week, and I am trying to get back into the swing of things. I really don't have it too bad, but I miss my Chelsea :( I just want to be done. Anyway, I was sitting here feeling all dopey and mopey, and I decided to listen to my theme (at least for now) song.... So I googled it, and watched it, on youtube and it made me feel a little better.
It is by Joey Ryan, and titled "California"

Then after I watched it, I noticed another video by him which I clicked on, and I think it is super cool. (Nathan and Chelsea I think you might appreciate and enjoy it)
